Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and a one-way hash of your password. We never store your password itself.
• Learning activity: which courses you opened, which lessons you finished, the lesson you were last on, and the time you spent. This is how “Resume” works.
• Job activity: jobs you save and the “Apply” links you open. Applications themselves happen on the employer’s site and are not seen by us.
• Messages: what you send through the contact form.
• Technical data: your IP address and browser type, used for security (rate limits, abuse prevention) and basic reliability.

Emails we send

We email a 6-digit code when you sign up or reset your password, and a notice when your password changes. We do not send marketing email.

Cookies

We use a necessary cookie to keep you signed in. It is a random identifier, not personal data. If you tick “Keep me signed in” it lasts up to 30 days, otherwise until you close your browser.

Advertising

This site shows ads. Some are our own. If we have none for a space we may show ads from partners such as Google AdSense, Amazon Associates or Meta. Those partners may set their own cookies and use data such as your device and the pages you visit to choose and measure ads. Where we ask for your consent, partner ads load only after you choose “Allow ads”. You can read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Clicking one of our own ads is counted so we can report results to advertisers; this uses no personal data.

Who can see your data

Only our authorised staff can see account and activity data, and only to run the service. Administrators can see which staff member changed a course or job. We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

Account and progress data stay until you delete your account. Security logs are cleared automatically within a few weeks to months.

Your choices

• Change your name or password in account settings.
• Delete your account and all its progress and saved jobs from the same page. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
• To ask for a copy of your data or any other request, contact us.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will also be announced on the site.
